About Us

In 1998, after nine years of working as a paralegal, I decided to stop shuffling legal paper and pursue my passion for other paper. I got a job at Crane & Co. Stationers where I received a classic education in the art of paper production, printing techniques and social etiquette. In 2004 I was lucky enough to launch my dream paper store and Paperjoy was born. I grew up in Phoenix, went to college in New Orleans and spent my twenties in Boston. While living in Boston, my entertaining and party ideas exploded. Some notable party themes were "Insect Logic", "The Brown & Red Party", "Orphan Thanksgiving" and "Easter Good Bye". Each party had elaborate invitations. In fact, I met my husband, John, while performing in a play as a bridesmaid wearing a paper dress. Paper, indeed, has always been a constant presence in my life. John and I married near Plymouth Rock in October 1994. The following month we moved to my hometown of Phoenix. We have two energetic and lovable sons, Sam and Luc, three dogs, Milhous, Ripley and Mrs. Eaves and many fish.  Paperjoy is five miles from our house and is truly a "joy."
